Moving Image

Part 1: BODYSPACE

This intensive workshop for actors, dancers and physical performers provides an effective introduction to physical scripting and an exploration of the theatrical mask. It uncovers a performer’s physical personality and presence on stage, to prepare work from a physical and instinctual base.

Part II: SURFACING

This workshop explores the physical relationship to emotional imagery to create and present dramatic and comic pieces. Suitable for actors, dancers and playwrights.

Part III: MAKE ‘EM LAUGH

Explore the physicalization of the comic-poetic image based on the Human Comedy, and employ your skills to develop comic imagery with style. Suitable for actors, physical performers and creators.

How to Register

To be accepted into a course, you must supply:

  1. A resume of training and experience
  2. Your signed registration form. Please indicate which course you want to register for
  3. A full length photograph (can be amateur)
  4. Your fee - you can pay by cheque, postal order or bankers draft in advance.
Students outside the UK, must pay by bank draft, post office draft or direct bank to bank.
Students will not be registered until their fees have been paid.

Send your resume, and application form (download it from the How to Apply), and a photograph in gif, jpg or tif format. Send your resume, photo and application form together with your fee to register for the workshop of your choice.

Please note that you must send your fees by mail and when you attend the course you must sign the application form in person.

For the Classes

Please bring plain movement clothing including a short sleeve and long sleeve top. You may wear jazz oxfords or go bare foot. Bring a lunch with you and water to drink during class.
